Dispatcher: FAQ and Common issues
This article cover most common issues, questions and solution or explanations about issues on the Trucky Dispatcher.
First and foremost: if you don’t find the job or don’t see the changes you have done with the Dispatcher, change g_save_format to 2 . Here is the guide how to change the save format
Learn how debug save editing errors
Save editing is not an universal science, Dispatcher save editing outcome could be vary based on many factors: your game state, mods, your in-game profile skills, your current position in the game map.
After having dispatched a job and reloaded the save you could encounter some issues:
- Economy Reset
- Recalculcation of navigation cache
- Teleport at home garage
- Game Crash
Now you have to learn how to debug these issues by yourself:
- Locate the game.log.txt: is located in the game home directory (that you should have set in Trucky settings)
- Open it with a text editor (Notepad++, Notepad, VSCode, etc)
- Scroll down to the end of the file
Another good way is using the game console: as soon the game reloads, hit the console key and check last lines.
Game save loading are denoted by a certain text pattern “Loading save“, find the latest save game loaded
You can find:
- An error reloading the save: the save game is broken – but if you have used a quicksave, don’t worry. The job won’t be in-game.

- An economy reset: you will be teleported at the home garage – the game does not accept the job.

- Navigation cache recalculation: something modified from the Dispatcher triggers this – is not clear what – , the game recalculates the navigation cache, is unsure the job will present after the reload.

Change g_save_format to 2
Some users have issues using the Dispatcher with the default g_save_format 0 . Try to change your g_save_format to 2 and retry.

I can’t click on Cargo Market selector
This means the game is closed or Trucky is not connected to the game: Cargo Market jobs, per their nature, can be created only when the game is running because Trucky needs to read the game memory to create properly the job.
Can’t find the dispatched job in Freight Market List
Try to order the list for Expiration time (descending – yellow arrow down) or search for the source city name

Why can’t use Steam cloud synced profiles?
The Dispatcher cannot work with Steam cloud synced profiles because Steam will revert the file to the original content after save edited.
Empty or not found profiles directory
If you don’t see your profiles, it’s because you have Steam Cloud enabled in your profiles, here’s how to do it:
Click on your profile, then “Edit Career”
Untick the “Steam cloud syncronization” checkbox and then “Confirm”. The profile will be copied over on the local home directory.
0t job
If you have a 0 tonne job when doing a cargo market job, it means you chose an illegal combination (according to the game) between the cargo and the trailer, like a helicopter in a dry van. To fix this problem, pick another cargo.
Can’t find my modded cargo in the Cargo list – Can’t find a company or a city
This applies to cargo and can apply also to Companies and Cities.
If you have a modded trailer or modded cargo, using it with the Dispatcher could be trial & error.
The Dispatcher reads the game save content but for modded trailers or modded cargo, the game does not generate jobs in the game save.
Specially for Cargo Market jobs, Trucky tries to filter cargo compatible with your owned trailer, but you can use the “Show all cargoes” toggle to show all cargo present in your game save regardless of the trailer compatibility filter.
I can’t load a save game in Convoy Mode
Since version 1.55, by default, the game save loading while in a Convoy session has been disabled but in 1.56 SCS added a command to re-enable it:
Open the console and send “g_convoy_allow_load 1”
Why i see old cities and companies that are not present anymore in the game?
The Dispatcher reads the game save content: the game “remembers” in the game save everything has been loaded once: cities and companies remain there also when removed from the game.
That’s why is highly suggested to use a profile for each kind of map or game mode: one for stock game map, one for Promods, one for TruckersMP and so on.
For example, if you load Promods once, the game will cache in the game save every Promods city and company that are not in the stock SCS map.
This could happen over the time also with changes from SCS, specially after map reworks or new DLCs.
Is possible to create Special Transport jobs with the Dispatcher?
No, it’s not possible: only the game can create Special Transport jobs because there routes are preconfigured.
Is possible to create WOTR jobs with the Dispatcher?
No, it’s not possible because WOTR jobs are stored on SCS servers.
No freight market jobs
If you see a message like “The saved game does not contain freight market jobs”, try these:
- Sleep
- Take the ferry or train
If these didn’t work, proceed at doing an economy reset, follow this guide:
Economy reset (Teleport to garage)
Like all custom jobs software, illegal trailers will cause an economy reset and the job will fail:
ATS
- Triples:
- Allowed in Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah
- Turnpike Double:
- Allowed in Nevada, Utah, British Columbia
- Road Mountain Double:
- Allowed in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, British Columbia
- Bi-train:
- Allowed in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, British Columbia
- 53′ Flatbed Spread Axle (flatbed.single_53sp.flatbed):
- Banned in British Columbia
ETS
- HCT:
- Allowed in Finland
- Double and B-Double:
- Allowed in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands
To see exactly why it caused an economy reset, open your game.log (located in %Documents%\Euro Truck Simulator 2). Then, search (Ctrl+F in Notepad) for “economy reset”.
Distance and Price calculation
As Trucky doesn’t know every distance between cities or between companies, you will sometimes see a random distance that will not match the real distance of that route. Since that distance might not be correct, you might get very high prices or very low prices on deliveries, depending on the Trucky database.
