The year 2024 has been a great and exciting year for Trucky, full of news and satisfaction.
In January we released the Standalone Mods Manager for TruckyMods, the first piece “detached” from the old application on Overwolf.
A few months later the testing of the new Standalone client began: an intense and complicated testing period but it was vital to produce and deliver a new client tested as much as possible so as not to destroy the user experience.
In June, the big leap, the new Standalone client was released: free of Overwolf many new users who previously did not want to or could not use the app because of performance issues, joined Trucky.
But most importantly, the new client was released for Linux and later for Mac: the first natively working tracker on Mac 🙂
The following months were a rollercoaster of many bug fix releases and small new implementations that were not possible before: improvements to Discord Rich Presence, Dispatcher, Hardcore mode, the Live Map, integration with Stream Deck and finally the return of one of most expected features, the Built-in Recording totally reimplemented from scratch.
Over time, several large VTCs joined Trucky, strong on the fact that the application was now Standalone and could offer more of their Drivers’ functionality or adopted Trucky as an enterprise tracker while maintaining their external system through API integration and Webhooks or through external services such as the excellent CHub.
Just to name a few (sorry we can’t mention everyone!!!): Aurora, ENJOYTRUCKERS, Nappers Logistics, At The Mile Logistics, Independent Owner Operators, Odissey, HEAVY HAUNLIN FOOLS, Sly Fox Trucking, Outlaw Transportation, Arrow’s Realm Transport, Uni-Trans, Strategic Transports Alliance, Heavy Haul Mafia, Delta Logistik Hannover, Welsh Logistics and finally in December we onborded Viva Trucking, one of the largest and most historic VTCs in our community.
Trucky has reached worldwide dimensions: peaks of 15k daily unique users and, monthly 35k unique users, about 200,000 registered users, 15K registered VTCs.
The Live Map also showed another interesting fact: during peak times, at the same time, there can be up to 1500 users connected at the same time.
But Trucky is not only the client, the tracker, the VTC Hub, there is also TruckyMods.
TruckyMods in 2024 has collected 3.2 million downloads (so far) and shared 6K USD to creators
We have now 350 registered creators, 1700 mods and 300k registered users.
But it doesn’t stop there: 2025 will bring more surprises.
The survey to which VTCs responded in recent weeks brought to light many different needs, some of which will be met.
Some examples:
– Ranks with automatic promotion and Discord integration
– Internal VTC events with Slot Booking
– New calculations for Global Market
– Implementations regarding Fleet Management
– Changes to Server Side Economy
And who knows what else we will come up with 🙂
We are planning the event to celebrate 8 years of Trucky, it will be a fantastic and very complex event!
