From the very beginning we have worked closely with many creators to bring their high quality projects to TruckyMods.
For us the goal has always been to create the best mod hosting platform for the Truck Simming community. Thanks to your support, we are happy to announce we are finally bringing advertising revenue to modders on TruckyMods.
In January we introduced advertising to TruckyMods to see how they would preform, it was a slow start, but after a few months the advert revenue ramped up significantly – we believe we will be offer the same or better rates for advert revenue as hosting sites such as sharemods.
At the end of each month, we calculate the ‘value’ of a download in terms of the advert revenue we have made and then multiply it by the number of downloads a creator has. As long as this hits at least $5 a creator can receive this money quite quickly over PayPal, just by adding their email address in the settings. TruckyMods takes absolutely no share of the income.
Since our launch in July we have had over half a million downloads, nearly 60,000 members registered, over 350 mods and nearly 100 modders.
We thank you for this amazing support and we hope that by this time next year these numbers will continue to grow and bring more modders to the platform!
We will continue to stand by our ethos, all mods will have given the original author full credibility, we will continue to make it easy for users to download, and most importantly we will continue to improve the site to fit the needs of our modders and users.
